Neuralist seance with the Themersons er en moderne, digital versjon av en spirituell seanse hvor kunstnerens intensjon er å fremkalle åndene til Stefan og Franciszka Themerson. Det polske avantgarde-kunstnerparet var aktive på den internasjonale kunstarenaen ca. 1930-1980. I performancen benytter Jałowiński seg av nevrale nettverk; en teknikk som brukes som byggesteiner innen maskinlæring og kunstig intelligens (KI).
I sine performancer leker Jałowiński med de alminnelige forventningene til performancekunst. Han forsøker å fjerne den tyngende patosen fra en sjanger som ofte anses som ekstremt individualisert, utilgjengelig og vanskelig å forstå.
Dominik Jałowiński ble født i 1981 i Lublin, Polen. Han er en visuell multimediakunstner, maler, utøver, kurator og arkitekt for oppslukende kunstutstillinger på digitale metaverse-plattformer. Han er en pioner innen bruk av blokkjedeteknologi i polsk kunst, og siden 2018 har han vært involvert i bruken av KI-algoritmer i den kreative prosessen. Han er utdannet ved kunstakademiet i Warszawa.
Verkene hans har vært vist i Galeria Foksal i Warszawa, Zachęta Gallery, Museum of Modern Art i Warszawa og Ludwig-museet i Budapest. Jałowiński er også kjent som medgründer av Smierć Frajerom Gallery and Foundation og han bor og jobber i Warszawa.

Neuralist seance with the Themersons is a contemporary, digital version of a spiritualist séance. The artist intends to evoke the spirits of Stefan and Franciszka Themerson. The two Polish avant-garde artists were active on the international art scene circa 1930-1980. In his performance, Jałowiński makes use of neural networks; a technique used as building blocks in machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).
In his performances Jałowiński undertakes a perverse game with the convention of performance. He attempts to remove the burden of pathos from a genre usually considered extremely individualizedand difficult to understand.
Dominik Jałowiński was born in 1981 in Lublin, Poland. He is a multimedia visual artist, painter, performer, curator and architect of immersive art exhibitions on digital metaverse platforms. He is also a pioneer of the use of blockchain technology in Polish art and since 2018, he has been involved in the application of AI algorithms in the creative process. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
His works have been exhibited at the Galeria Foksal in Warsaw, the Zachęta Gallery, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, and the Ludwig Museum in Budapest. Jałowiński, a co-founder of the Smierć Frajerom Gallery and Foundation, lives and works in Warsaw.
